User interface

Title of the Client application contains a name and a version of the client application.

Title also shows your username and server name after connection to server is established, using format "(username@servername)".

In case you are connected to server as administrator title will contain also "ADMINISTRATION MODE".

Main menu

Main menu item contains three items: Server, Account, Windows, Tools and Help.


Add - opens Add a new server dialog.

Connect - openes a list of preveosly added voice server for further connection.

Connect by URL - opens a dialog that allows to connect to a voice server using a link in this format (with ability to connect to specific room) "mytvoice://SeverName/room/subroom".

Administrate - allows to switch to Administrator mode. This opens all possible rights and functions. Rrequired an administrator’s password. Read more: Administrator mode.

Exit - completely closes client application.


Create - creates a voice server. Opens a browser, navigating to your MyTeamVoice personal page and opens create server dialog.

My servers - browses you to your MyTeamVoice personal page to show a list of your voice servers.


Inside "View" you may show / hide inner windows (Rooms, Servers, etc.) and status bar

Also you may choose different UI themes.

All windows except Chat do not have fixed position and can be moved anywhere you like, even outside the main window.


Inside "Tools" you may open General, Administrator settings and call Settings wizard at any time.


Online help - opens a "Help" section on MyTeamVoice website.

Help Wizard - a set of sep-by-step instruction which explain basic operations with Client application.

Report bug - if you have faced with an error, this menu item will bring you to a propper section of feedback site.

Leave feedback - opens a feedback section of feedback MyTeamVoice site.

Suggest idea - if you have an idea about making MyTeamVoice better use this menu item and write to us.

Ask question - this menu item will bring you yo special section of feedback site.

MyTeamVoice website - opens official MyTeamVoice website.

About program - shows short details about MyTeamVoice Client application.


– drop down list to choose username.

To add a new username press button "Connect as..." on the "Server" window (user icon on toolbar) and enter desired username. Please note: you may change username before connection only.

– connect to / disconnect from a voice server

– enable / disable your microphone

– enable / disable sound

– client application settings

– administrator settings

Window "Servers"

The window shows list of voice servers.


– add server

– remove server

– login as ...

Please note: to connect to server as guest you should enter a server password and any name, but to connect as officer you should enter a username and a password issued by administrator.

If a server is not found by Client application his name become crossed out.

Window "Rooms"

The window shows a rooms’ tree of the connected voice server.


– fold in / fold out rooms

– start / stop listen room

– start / stop individual call

– start / stop rooms editing

Function of the toolbar also present in context menu.

Right under toolbar it is placed filter of the rooms.

To use it - enter part of the room name.

Filter panel:

– Find me in the rooms tree

– clear filter

– select next room

– select previous room

Window "Individual calls"

The window shows a list of all active individual calls.

Window "Listen rooms"

The window shows a list of rooms that you hear in addition to yours.


– turn on / turn off sound of the room

– stop listening the room and remove it from the list

If you click on list header button "turn on or off sound of the room" the action will be applied all rooms in the list.

Window "Chat"

Window for text communication. Chat supports private messages and sending messages to other rooms (groups).

In addition to common chat features the chat window also displays status messages of the client application.

Status bar

A bar that is placed at the bottom of the window. It shows current connection state of the voice server.


Client Settings

Settings window allows changing user interface language, principles of application behaviour, configure an input and output sound devices and much more.
